Another great method is to just type the conversion you would like into Google. It converts nearly anything these days.

12.5 liters / 100 kilometers to miles per gallon - Google Search

Hard to believe.... No way. X6 3.5i is rated 15/20 - see specs on the bmwusa.com. You cant possibly get combined 21.19 with these city/hwy ranges.

Something is wrong with the numbers they posted for X5 3.5i...

BTW, my 335i with N54 is rated at 17/26, and I am averaging 20mpg. And that is for the much much lighter vehicle.

Haha maybe with jeeves the butler driving. There no chance anyone who intends to leave the right lane will achieve such numbers.

All BMW's are rigorously tested for fuel consumption. The car is driven downhill, with all systems turned off, in a perfect vacuum.

Same test for everyone. This is not a BMW specific test but EU mandated.

Yes I know. The same useless test that does not reflect real world conditions whatsoever.

And I suspect over time that the manufacturers have been getting better at achieving a better test result without necessarily getting better real-world figures.
