Talking of stereo; I read somewhere that standard stereo on 2011 X5 has less speakers and a missing amp than standard stereo on 2010 X5. They want people to buy 'Premium sound package'.

Less speakers than the 4 that come with the 2010 base system?! I hope that isn't true. The base system in the 2010 is terrible. I have had my car for almost 6 months and not ordering it with premium sound is my only regret.

Seriously I wonder how many Individual Maritime Mahogany E53's stayed in the US? I'm also curious how many total X5's went to the UK, because BMW is willing to produce this car, a 4.8is Individual Maritime Mahogany Edition with every option, including a comfort windshield, auxiliary heating, tv, comfort seat headrest DVD setup, in a right hand drive version for the UK, but not for the US at all. Think about it. They have to source all the parts in South Carolina, that includes an opposite dashboard, all interior trim, wood paneling, electronics, even the paint. Now isn't that some true bullshit.

$20 isn't going to cut it for the real look of LEDs that can be seen during the day. And neither will the $200 LUX since they just got recalled. Screwed ALL around now...

I agree...too bad LUX was recalled. But still, the $20 GP Thunders is still 100x better than stock.
