35d Oil Leak and recall
Took the 35d in for service, oil leak on passenger side on the ground. Looked underneath and oil dripping from an area I did not know oil would be at.
SA also informed me of two recalls; Replace charge-air temp sensor and re-program (probably for the sensor) they would take care of. Calls next day and says "turbocharger issue" and waiting for instructions from New Jersey BMW NA. Day after SA says BMWNA wants them to take turbo apart (don't know which one) and try to find source or cause of leak. I would rather they replace the whole unit and not try to use my unit as a training exercise to fix a leak. Parts probably in Germany. Keep you posted. In the shop for three days. Maybe they'll keep it for 30 days and I can get a new one. Have a 10 328 coupe, SB with red interior, navi and M sport pkg for loaner. Sure is fun to drive.
