Pre LCI uses a halogen H8 bulb and the LCI uses LED, the OEM LCI are a lot brighter than any Lux, I had lux before.

Congratulations on a successful retrofit. The LED's are well worth it in my opinion. My 2011 35D was one of the first diesels to have them. I actually waited before I ordered, just to make sure I would get them.

I was thinking about changing mine also I have a 2011 3.5I SAV.
But I am kind of scared to try to mess with the lights and how do you take them out?
