Lastly, when I'm listening to music being streamed via Bluetooth from my phone, if it gets interrupted by a phone call, shouldn't it just start playing again when the call concludes? Am I missing a setting somewhere? I've been spoiled by the BlueBus in my 325xiT.
Can only speak to the second remote (assume you mean key FOB). That price is pretty good for a dealer price. You can check here: Key FOB Source to verify price. I'm going to use this place for a key on both our E70 and F15 X5's as our dealer wanted $600+ for each, plus an hour of labor for programming the comfort access.

My "new" E70 X5 had severe cracks & scratches on the Walnut strips on either side of the center console. I discovered that Old English Dark Scratch Cover, rubbed in across the cracks with a Q-Tip and then wiped with a paper towel, almost completely hides both surface scratches and cracks. My wife couldn't believe that I hadn't replaced the parts with new ones until she examined them closely.

New to the board. Recently purchased a 2012 X5 Premium. Wanted an X5 for years, finally settled on color and options I wanted. Style wise, the E70 ticks all the boxes.

Previous owner was loading something in the back, and made a terrible mark on left rear door card. Huge blemish, all the way through the vinyl. And scuffed up the roller shade.

Todays project: replacement door card, swapped out all my good pieces to a card with a clean sunshade and decent vinyl.

Still need to fix an oil pan leak, thrust bushings and some paint work.

It happens to all of us. Good tip on that Old English products reviving the trims.

I happily fixed my parking brake actuator without having to buy anything new. I took it off yesterday and found that the negative terminal on the motor broke off. I McGuyver'd a small lead onto the broken location to clip onto the stock connector, put it back together and IT WORKED!! Didn't cost a dime and all is well.

My inner-right-rear tail light was out, so I disassembled the unit and soaked the 63217262576 socket unit in rust dissolver to remove the severe corrosion. All back together and working happily! Also received a replacement tailgate button for the center console from China and replaced the damaged/illegible one. Very happy with my virtually perfect E70 X5.

Replaced a failed thermostat coolant hose flange. Had to switch out the o ring that came with the aftermarket aluminum flange. Luckily, local oreilly auto had the flange instock.
