Changed the Transfer Case oil and did a transmission service (mechatronic sleeve, seals, solenoids, new pan). Shifting from 2nd to 1st and into reverse was starting to get less than ideal.

Reset adaptions and transfer case via ISTA, all smooth again.

Differentials on the list for next job...

Found and fixed a puncture. Smallest screw I've ever seen cause a leak.

I used a temporary hand screw in plug they are awesome I've used them about half a dozen times.

They are meant to get you to a repair shop but I've needed them coincidentally when the tires were near end of life so experimentally I've left them in long term with effectively permanent results. That will be the case with this tire as well as it will be replaced within a month.

Everybody should have in your car. It's far easier and cleaner than any rope plug and I've driven at least 3000 miles on one tire with the plug (though I wouldn't recommend it: I had a run flat tire and a spare).

Follow up: the car reported ALL tires low not just one. Is the e70 TPMS really that lame? I thought it was all sensors low because ambient temperature drop. Filled up all the tires reset TPMS only to have a repeat a couple days later. That time I noticed one tire wear lower than all the rest and looked for the screw. Very disappointed in the TPMS if this is the case.

Had that issue a while back. Ended up coding out tpms for ftm. Ftm works but only if they get really low, less than 20 psi or so. I do plan on putting tpms back in with 4 new sensors at some point.

Same here with tpms. At least, that's what I've convinced myself for the last year or so.

What have you done to your E70 today?

Replaced most of my interior lights with new LED. They were led when I bought the car a week ago but they were >6k which is not comfortable to human eyes. The new ones I bought were very inexpensive so I wasn't expecting much. They are listed as 6k but I think they are closer to 5k and a nice natural white like sun not blue.

Four of the locations the lamp was a little too long, but made from PCB you can cut them down a little. For $1.60@ what a deal just as long as they stay working.

I did the led stuff on my e70 and all worked ok except the doom light which flickers when dimming. I may convert that one back to normal bulbs one day. Led bulbs just dont dim out very well.

I get a couple flickers just like you describe just on the front dome light. It hasn't bothered me enough to switch but I considered the same just the one lamp flickers

Recently put on the winter 18"s and replaced the valve cover gasket and PCV valve(due to a whistling noise).

Just some maintenance stuff...

Replaced the water pump (bad bearing) and thermostat while I was there. Also replaced the spark plugs and coils. The back one on the driver side is a PITA! Still need to change that one...just ran out of time over the weekend.
