Added Boscam Wireless Solar Backup Camera. Fairly easy install, nice to have. Would prefer OEM, but $$$ just for camera and I don't have Nav, so not sure I have proper idrive to program OEM anyhow. Good for the $, maybe OEM someday. Wish I could view trailer hitch, but my view angle does not.

Finally changed them. Not a bad job at all. ![]() 1-4 and a new one too compare. #3 is the worst and was one that came up as misfire. ![]() All the parts that come off first ![]() Car has a couple Delphi coils I'll prob change those out to Bosch in the not distant future. ![]() Finally put the "pretty cover" back on; kept off for better cooling. ![]() Added some ventilation to help eliminate heat soak after shutting down. ![]() The long socket with built in swivel is almost perfect I needed to add 3" extension to clear obstacles on some cylinders. ![]() It actually was one of the easiest plug swap I've ever done. I needed to change both cabin filters and engine air filters as well so no biggie that I had to take off all the plastic parts.

What have you done to your E70 today?
![]() So this happened! I followed the video below to figure out how to replace. https://youtu.be/jDxyd2OwIpg Wife had my car, I had hers. I was on my way to Chicago she was on her way home when she called me saying the battery light came on dash and that it's very very very hard to steer. (Clear indication serp belt broke). I was half way to Chicago when she called, found a place that had the belt on stock right on the route, she miraculously found a gas station in downtown Chicago not just with one "non parking" spot that was out of the way of customers but TWO. (Soi had a place to park on arrival). It took an extra 90 minutes to install because I didn't have a T55 and a breaker bar to manipulate the tensioner. I eventually found a 3/8 hex bit and used a small crescent wrench combined with a large Channel lock pliers and got the tensioner turned. I swear the new belt was ¹/₂ inch shorter so was still hell to push on. With the right tool, it's maybe 45 min. job. Two important tips; 1) the radiator upper hose is in the way of the fan mounting tab for removal; I missed the part in the video describing that it flips out of the way so you don't have to remove the upper hose so I lost some coolant. 2) the tensioner has a provision to lock it in the loose position, had I remembered that I'd have likely saved an hour. I will definitely remember that next time!

took it out to the snow and the fuel pump relay had a hard fail/cranked but no fuel - replaced the relay with a spare and it started right up.

Installed Uro vanos solenoids.
Drove a few miles with the engine cold and noticed the rough idle went away. Rough idle was probably due to the defective Vaico solenoids. Vaico units were installed when I got the 2A87 engine code. Some time later, less than a year, a rough idle was noticed.

Replaced air spring
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll post a thread with details but the short version is: check for leak with spray cleaner, deflate spring with foxwell, cut the bladder because always a little air left, pry the bottom out with a flat bar, cut the tube free so it has a clean end to go into new spring, install new into the top "bayonet" socket, inflate with foxwell, guide the bottom to fit into the bottom socket, deflate with foxwell so I can get the wheel on, lower the car partiality, once the car starts to self level, lower the jack completely. 40 min. start to finish including pauses for photos and five minutes looking for the box with the spring.
