I've mistaken a new X3 for an X5 from the front before - I can only imagine that will be more common once this comes out.

^^ BMW is working towards common design elements among all X vehicles.... expect more than just the front common with X3 .

Tough question. My guess is BMW will probably go back to using the 72.5 mm center bore(as in E53 X5), as that what they have used in new F25 X3, X1 and all the other BMWs released recently. But they may also stick to 74 mm....who knows.

those wheels on spyshots are same as on my e70 35d. I am guessing yes, compatible.
