BMW AUX can be retained with the DICE kit, no need to worry.

I have a 2005 X5 4.8is with Sirius. I unplugged the CD changer and plugged the $20 "SIRIUS" cable you sent me into the sirius module. Why could I not have used the cable that was already there that was plugged into the CD changer. It was longer and pre-installed. Is it a different cable or something?

Tom
I wasn't aware you already had the connector preinstalled. If it is not needed, simply contact me by phone or email and accept the item as a return.

is there a difference

Is there any difference between the cable you supplied me and the cable that was in the car already running between the Sirius module and the CD changer?

Thanks,

Tom

Tom...Can you help with a couple more things please?

I got the kit installed and everything initializes.

Two problems I see...

1) The audio is dominant out of the left side of the car. I have to turn the balance one click from full right for it to sound normal.

2) I can only seem to get the track information into a little .5inch long section of the navigation across the top, not the full lower portion of the Nav like all the pictures show. Can you please advise?

Thanks,

Tom

I'm confused, I thought we were exchanging the module as in your previous post.

Thumbs up I think you have confused me with someone else....

I do not need to swap my module, I was going to return the Sirius cable to you as it is already in my car. 2005 X5 4.8is

I just need help now with the two questions above.

Thanks,

Tom

1. I'm not sure why the audio is not balanced. Be sure all Soundcheck and EQ settings are disabled on the iPod before connecting to the DICE kit.

2. You need to set your text as DISC6/TRACK6 for large font on your NAV screen. After your selection, move back to DISC1 for song selection mode.
