THANKS FOR THE TIP!

Is there an online manual of the Dice? I recall having to stumble upon on, but it may have been the Dice iPod integration. The manual provided with in the kit doesn't really explain some of the features.

The manual included with the kit is what we have, but feel free to give me a call from yorur X5 and we can run down the features in real time for a better explanation.

Hey Tom,

I have yet another problem. In the iPod mode, there are whooshing sounds at regular intervals. Very noticable when the music is low. Also, that high-pitched noise that fluctuates with the revving is still there but barely noticable.

Do I have another defective unit?

How is your trunk interface cable routed and where is the module being placed?

Engine noise

I have the same "whoos" sound problem and I believe it's engine noise. I have the DICE exactly where the IceLink Plus module was, which is to the right side of the gas pedal, behind the center console. I did not have that engine noise with the IceLink Plus and that noise is not present if I switch to regular FM station or put my CD Changer back on.

It's routed underneath the cargo floor to underneath the rear seat cushion all, alongside the center console on the passenger side to underneath the front passenger seat where the module sits. And I've made sure that the complete wire is stretched out and not bundled up.

My whoos are coming through the speakers, so is the high-pitched sound. When I mute the system, there's no more noise. When the volume is up to a normal listening level, you can hear the whoos again.

I'm not sure what a "whoos" noise is, if you can contact me via phone - we'll go over your issue in real time.

it's like a static/buiz/clicking combination noise (that's the best i can explain it), so i guess it's not really a 'whoo' sound.

when is a good time to contact you? I don't have my car until friday night. so are you available on saturday or sunday?

We are available by email on weekends, drop me a line when you are at your vehicle and we'll troubleshoot.
