Nav OS V27 has been released - Page 24

I did the downgrade to V26/upgrade to V27, which caused my unit to switch into a default mode. "Accept" screen is gone, and short distances are in yards.

Why do I need to have the dealer recode my system? What is missing, other than the accept screen and having the distances in yards? Have I lost some other functionality in the process that I should care about?

No need to recode. That's the mode my nav drive has always been in and as far as I'm concerned I have no problem with yards instead of feet. And as for the accept screen - good riddance!!

Unless you have a UK car and lose the correct ETA functions AND therefore the ability to use TMC diverting and Dynamic Routing if applicable.

it will become apparent very quickly if you need to recode.

what happend was a BAD burned software disk and the nav computer is NO LONGER BOOTING! If you are luck you can recover your MKIV nav computer by installing the software again.

i have similar problem with 1 of 4 mk4 unit. Three units was flashed succsessfully with v27, and last mk4 when updaiting v27 is finished begin flashes ones more. After this unit down to black screen.... Disk no return 1.5 hauer.... Then v21,22,24,25 was installed. When install v26, gauge indicator was only 10-15sec, unit say thatt Ok, but software no update. v25 (4-1\50) and no higher on this unit...

Man...I was just about to post on that this morning. Mine doesn't even show the accept screen anymore...straight to the Nav.

Funny thing is...it was showing the accept screen yesterday...3 days after updating to v27. Best thing is, units are still the same for me (meters and km) so this can't be the Euro mode reset to yards and miles.

Ok, I downgraded to v26 and upgraded to V27 and used the ///M themed one which is just freakin cool (thanks to all) and worth the price of premium membership in my book. Even though the standard V27 had the Accept screen disappear after a few seconds, I really dig European mode. I can live with yds instead of feet (I like my beers that way).

My question is when I turn my car off and back on, I don't get the logo (it goes straight to Nav). Even if I wait 5 minutes or so it goes straight to Nav. I want to take a picture of the ///M logo on bootup. Is there a time limit or special key sequence I have to do wait/do? TIA.

Yes, I believe its ~15min.
