I think that the easiest way is to use Navtweak

guys, nobody knows where, in which file, the BC message are?
Because, changing the language on my mk4, replacing GER module with the ITA one, all works fine, except the words on BC...

You mean what is shown on the dashboard? You can not change this by the navi SW, it's in another device which is not changed or updated by this navi software

Why change GER text with ITA?

If you configure the car for ITA, everything will be in ITA, including BC.

Simply send the configuration command to load the italian language into the nav, then when you select Italian, the whole car will be in Italian

Use NavCoder to help change the languages.

Hi Jochen
yes, I know that ...I don't need to change language in my car...just to have the chance to turn off sound alerts when I use the Poison system
so, I thought to change D option in language menu...chosing I I have my menu in ITA with sound alerts...chosing D I would have language and voice in german...so I made some changes...and now I have voice and language (words) in ITA even if I choose D but without alerts...
If you understand a bit of italian take a look here (I'm Lynx in here)

Created V32 Mode2/XA OS Disc for MK3/4 NAVs with Dutch Voice and Menus for MK3 !

Dear all,

Just wanted to inform everyone about the following:
I have been succesfull in creating a V32 Mode2/XA NAV OS Boot disc which is useable for both MK3 and MK4 systems AND (most of all) supports installing the Dutch language for MK3 systems, with the following features:
- Based on the latest BMW NAV OS, V32
- Compiled the image in MODE2/XA mode, so not only useable in MK4 systems, but also in MK3 systems !
- Includes the DUTCH language for MK3 NAV computers, which I successfully applied to a MK3 NAV Computer that I am selling => Voice as well as Menu's are now in Dutch !
- The splash screen shows the (very nice) BMW-logo that I encountered in another mod of the V32 firmware.

Programs/Tools used:
- NavTweak
- Mode2CDMaker.EXE + GUI
- ImgBurn
- NavCoder (KiwiJochen)
- Resler's interface (USB)

It especially took quite a bit of work to find out the correct procedure to modify the file structures so that the CD supports Dutch for MK3-systems and construct the Mode 2/XA CD that I need for my MK3.
Furthermore, translating all the English messages into Dutch took me into the night yesterday....

However, the result counts !

I decided not to share all information about the procedure followed yet.
In case anyone is seriously interested in obtaining this info and possibly also my ImgBurn image file, let me know, and I'll upload it somewhere.

Special thanks to KiwiJochen for all his work in the last couple of years, his endless patience to answer all forum-threads in the best way he possibly can and all his work on the NavCoder program !
