I was having problems installing Gtk+ and Navtweak on Vista 64... this is what I did: first download Gtk+ and install that. Only then download Navtweak, then it worked with no errors.
Also, I couldnt even install Gtk+ at first on Vista, it kept throwing out incompatibility errors.. so I downloaded the RAR file on my older XP, then copied over the extracted .EXE file via USB stick over to Vista and then it installed. Last edited by sarunas4; 02-27-2009 at 11:27 PM. |

If you have problems with running NavTweak even after the installation of GTK try to reinstall GTK one more time - I hade several times the same problem (on XP and Vista as well), in all cases I succeed to run NavTweak after additional installation of GTK
And try to use the latest version of GTK - I use gtk2-runtime-2.14.7-2009-01-13-ash.exe |

Well, I'm stumped. I've been struggling to upload modded software but I keep striking out. I've read through this entire thread and I think I've tried everything.
I'm running a Mark IV Nav with V32 software. I've modded the V32 Navboot splash screen, car icons, and warning screen text using Navtweak. I've also changed the 4th bit in sw_rel.tbl using pspad to force the upload of the modded software. I've replaced these files in the iso using UltraIso. I've burned the new Iso image to a CD-rom with no problems. When I insert the disc into the computer, things progress normally, I get the message that software will be updated, the progress bar fills all the way up ....then I get a screen that says something about "errors encountered, please see user manual, eject disk and click ok". The nav goes to a black screen, until put the regular V32 disk in. The regular V32 disk installs normally and then system works fine. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong when I create the modified V32 iso? I'm comfortable with the navtweak changes but not terribly comfortable using the hex editor. Does anyone have a working link to a copy of V27, so I can load an old version and then install a modded V32 without having to adjust the software version using the hex editor (none of the links in the forum seem to work anymore). |
