I left the menu system in tact (2nd/night theme) because I didn't think it needed a change. You can change it if you like, obviously! I liked the grey/brown with white text scheme.

Just remember to change the start-up warning message in the navboot unless you want yours to read like mine!!!

Hahaha, we (in the UK), dont have the accept screen anyway, so not a problem.

Hi guys,
just wanted a bit of advice please?

My nav constantly reboots on its own now.

I loaded my custom v32 about 2 months ago and this has only started happening over the last couple of weeks.

From experience, does anyone know if this is OS or hardware related?

Hardware: it is a weak laser, causing data corruption when reading the map cd

Well thats dead easy

Open lid (no screws)
Remove DVD drive (4 screws, one cable connector)
Fit new drive and reassemble

looked at the guide and theres soldering involved, which ive never done.
is that bit hard?

Have a look at the map disc and see if it has any surface blemishes too, this wont help, Also if you have a cd map try that, and see if the problem goes away.

DVD looks immaculate.

i may try and edit my UK map down to CD size.
anyone know if this is even possible?
