Not as such, they just convert them so that the OEM bmw system can read them.

AFAIK, it just shifts the data around and makes the 2 files.

Hi dearest,

yes very close to. I opened with hex editor the .url and .idx files and it is the actual data mixed up with something else. I am not an expert of programming but is there any way to "decode" the dos exe fle in order to have a look at the program structure?

The poison mods are a 2 stage process and do the following;

1: patch the navboot.
- a: auto enable the military bases to be loaded at startup

- a: add an alert to audio string #9

2: patch the map disc.
- a: import camera locations direct into DB.

Once the above has been done, then that's it.

I do all these, I can see speed cams but i haven't voice alert

By loading the Poison patch, you have achieved a) and b)

The poison patch does this tasks automatically, it patches the nav system to enable military bases and play audio string #9.

No, only mk4 navboot.

Have you added a alert wav to the voice file on your OS or used code from the OEM voice file?

I did all above as the instuctions
Must TMC be to ON ?

If you have done the above and patched the navboot then it must work, if it does not work, then you have missed something.

You have edited your country's language file yes?

No, the patch works independently of the TMC.

No, the patch works independently of the TMC.

I have American,English and French I use American and English. I have edit audio in #8 and #9 in these language.
What do you mean : "You have edited your country's language file yes?"
with "your country's " and "yes" ?
How do I do the "yes"?
