Good idea on the GSSF! I forget about it as I've never been a member.

If you want to get new sights, check out the big dot Ameriglo sights. I've got them on both my Glocks and the 2 dots are very quick and easy to line up. Plus the big orange dot is highly visible and the tritium glows brightly in dim light.

Thanks Eric - will do on the sights, thanks for the reference :)

Is it wrong to buy ammo for your gun that you haven't picked up yet? LOL

Well Sportsmans Guide has been doing well for me lately - they run Free Shipping over $49 quite frequently and it includes ammo with one of their promo codes at checkout - which works out great because my usual ammo place (BulkAmmo) although they ship super fast, its always a minimum of $15-20 to ship.

And it saves me from driving to my local LGS which is usually more expensive per box anyway, and then paying sales tax, etc.

So I just got 500 rds of 124g S&B range ammo for $127 shipped - at least she will be ready to be fed once shes home LOL

Not at all.

Is it wrong to have 1000 round of Federal Power Shok 243 jacketed/bonded/soft lead points for the Browning BLR? A 30yr old gun that's never been fired?

A gun without ammo on hand is a hammer!

Too funny!

The liberals & gun grab politicians are all well aware that if marshal law and/or gun confiscation begins, Texas will be THE state that will be the most difficult to enforce.

The "off-grid/prepper/in the sticks" gun owners will be easy to overcome. The upper-middle/middle class neighborhoods that have a strong "come and take it" mindset will be a hell for them.

Should it reach that point, enforcement personal will, no doubt, be equipped with vests/shields/helmets. 243 soft tips at 3000fps/1900 ft/lbs energy are no fun, even with full body armor!

I even have a neighbor on my street with a Barrett 50cal, and enough ammo to feed it for weeks. Welcome to Texas libtards! Come and take it!

This is why I'm always continuously keeping and expanding ammunition stock - I just need to add a second pump action or an autoloader 12 gauge and I'll just have bandoliers of slugs to put holes through things LOL

That won't be me, I'm not even the most hardcore "come and take it" in my neighborhood, much less Texas!

Some of the people on my street have gun safes in their SUVs, and hard cases full of hi-power rifles in their homes.

GSSF membership package came in today - Discount coupon was enclosed with the GSSF magazine and Glock 2016 Buyers Guide, they even threw in a little 1-pistol Glock range bag, not bad for $30 a year, and access to matches, and armorer's courses, and a $150 discount on a Glock each year!

Now just waiting on my 3 permits to come in (1 to be used on my Beretta) in order to pick up my first Glock - but I probably will get to the store and pay and have them hold it until the permits arrive.

Glock 19 Gen4 Blue Label is paid for and on hold until my permits come in! - any day now

The girl from the range called me because I emailed her yesterday when there was 2 left in stock, this morning it showed 1 in stock! She called asked if I wanted to pay for it and have it held I said YES

Otherwise I'd have to wait for the next round of Blue Labels to arrive to use my discount coupon and she said that they come in sporadically and they don't know which will arrive first, could be a couple weeks, could be a couple months -

Obviously this is my only "Glock Gripe" so to speak, I can imagine if I was a police officer and wanted to buy a specific Glock and since to get the LE discount I have to buy a Blue Label, the selection could be sporadic at times. No gripes if you aren't buying Blue Label. I'll definitely be adding a G26 or G43 when we make the move down south for sure as its more suited to carry in warmer attire although I'll have no problems carrying the G19 I'm sure (when I'm able to) - and I get another discount coupon to use next May as well.

Special thanks to Eric (edogg) for all his Glock help while I made my decisions but I definitely feel great about starting my Glock stable with the all around phenomenal 19.
