Check to see if he is limp wristing, riding the mag release will just release the mag it won't jam the firearm. Also check his grip he may be riding the slide catch -

What type of "jam" was it?

Also, if a mag is inserted there is a tiny amount of side to side play (1mm or so) if you grab the base plate of the mag. Sounds like no issues to me.

Possible as well you were shooting some super light 115gr stuff, sometimes the WWB and UMC are loaded a bit lighter than the box says and might misfire. I usually get the 124gr stuff at $1 more a box or $20 more per case.

Both my Glocks have been flawless but I strip, clean and lubricate after each range session and I also do it on every new or used pistol I obtain.

After looking into it more, he was definitely limp wristing it, haha

LOL! Glad you got it sorted - Glock's aren't exactly malfunction prone if used properly :)

Couldn't resist this deal - TacSol barrels usually sell for $250 on their own, with MidwayUSA promotion going on today I got the TacSol barrel and Hogue Takdedown Stock kit for my Ruger 10/22 for $280 shipped ($30 off $300 coupon, I threw in $5 worth of targets to get the cart over $300)

What a bargain! I actually have a Hogue stock already which was a "factory blemish" bought at half price, but now I will have Hogue on both barrels (and a "factory first" stock this time) and won't have to remove the forend to swap barrels out (although I probably will rarely use the factory barrel unless maybe at a distance with an optic)

And TiAgX5, this one is for you - my final pistol purchase for the year and my first Sig - chambered in your favorite caliber :) - thanks for the recommendation, it really is a fine pistol out of the box! The compact is perfect size as its 9 rounds as opposed to the Full's 10, so you aren't giving up much at all in capacity! If it was the PPQ's 12 rd in 45 vs the 9 I'm getting in Compact, I would have considered a Full - Got myself a 3rd mag, and it has Siglite (Meprolight) sights out of the box which are pretty decent!

Nice RB.

I've been on the hunt for release date info on the P320 Sig 45 with the factory RX upgrade pkg (slide milled, Romeo 1 reflex site & suppressor height hard sites).

I guess Sig is holding back the 45 RX release to maximize sales of the 9mm RX.

Yeah I spoke to Sig yesterday - they admitted haven't put much production time into the 45, I would expect the RX version to take a while (what a great optic though) - I asked them because my 45 still has the "first gen" grip frame, whereas the 9mm/40/357 were updated with a newer slide catch and "hump" in that area as an updated design to prevent knocking slide catch with thumb while firing. They told me eventually they would update the frames on the 45's but they are still making the small current production of the 45 with the modules they have on hand. They said the 45 just hasn't been selling as well (nor ordered in that caliber from many of the agency contracts I would imagine) -

As I mentioned to you a few months back I had probably had 3-4 distributors on a wait list just for the regular Compact 45 P320 - some trickled out with October and November production but most are out of stock again. A few full FDE versions on Gunbroker now.

Would have loved an RX but they are so hot in 9mm right now I don't suspect the 45 will get much love for a while. Maybe at Shot Show? I'm also looking forward to the updated 5th gen/M model Glock's to start trickling out to dealers after Shot Show.

This image sums up why I like 45acp as a defense round. The pic shows 9mm on the left, 40 S&W center & 45 acp on right.

That 230 grain 45 acp mushrooms HUGE!

Cool Pic!

Man, look how cleanly that HST expands. That's an awesome pic. Reaffirms why I carry it.

So my wife won a Tiffany Blue X-werks coated frame Glock 42 from a Kentucky Gun Co. (kygunco.com) giveaway via email link on their Facebook page - too cool! She is super excited to get it -

I kinda wish it was a 43 because I have a ton of 9mm, but I think she will like the handling and bit softer shooting of the 42 as compared to the 43 (she didn't mind shooting my Glock 26 but said she would have liked something a bit softer and thinner in the hand)

We are waiting for her permit to be issued (about 3 weeks in Jersey which is actually good) then we can get it out of jail as its at my FFL - she also got these 2 cool Yeti tumblers and holster (which they shipped to our house)
