not trying to be funny but what about Switzerland? I thought they were some of the most elite forces as well? Being that they are also the Vatican guards and such. I could be wrong but just thought maybe thats the case?

those are more planning and locational rather than skill they are given coordinates and they follow orders if coordinates are off its an accident. you also have to account for the number of soldiers and how difficult it is to manage where each one is at any given time so yes good training poor planning

There are two reasons the American military is by far the best in the world.

Reason #1: budget

Reason #2: they have by far the most experience in war situations having been involved in the most wars
