As for as learning more about the CTSV, I think I've learned anything and everything I care to learn about the car and the sales practices of the dealerships behind it... No thank you.

If my brother decides he still wants to test drive it, etc. I will gladly accompany him. But as far as me spending my time and my energy to get him in the seat.... Not going to do it. Cadillac had it's window of opportunity with me and now that ship has sailed.

They don't owe you anything, let alone the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of a 560hp car to get some jollies because you think your money is more green than the next guy's.

Go buy your hotshot BMW, or Cayenne, or whatever, and flaunt your ability to score test drives in $200k cars, like anyone out here in the real world gives a rat.

Ohhh, I see, now this is about me flaunting my money and thinking I'm better than other people... And to think this whole time I thought I wasn't getting a test drive cause I wasn't baller enough.. Guess I'm confused...

P.S. you say they don't owe me anything. I would suggest that my tax payer dollars going into car manufacturer bail out does entitle me to test drive a product I'm already paying for.

P.S.S. - Could you please make a list of the people who DO deserve a test drive. I'd like to know for future reference.
Thus far I have:

A) Ballers
B) People who are modest
C) People who will give private credit information that lowers fico score to salesman
D) People who buy the car before they test drive it

What have I forgotten please?

Btw, this statement just goes to show that you have no real commitment to this thread other than to try to protect the reputation of your car and bash me.

Cause had you read the thread you would have noticed, NOWHERE did I say that I DESERVED a test drive cause I'm better, richer, WHATEVER..

Those are not my words and I would appreciate it if you didn't try to speak for me, especially when you clearly misinterpret.

I think EVERYONE should be able to test drive it. I don't think I'm better than anyone and as far as wealth, there will always be people with more and always people with less. I don't judge people by their wealth. I judge people by their character.

And it's exactly Cadillac's position that they don't allow people off the street to test drive their cars that highlights just the opposite of what you are saying. They think they are better, they think their money is greener.

I don't care if I drive up in a Geo Metro and wearing a Swatch or in a Lambo wearing a Piaget. If you want to sell cars, take people on test drives. If they seem serious, give them 2-3 miles. If they don't, make it short.

But don't convict me of being some sort of snob. Quite the contrary, I'm not the one asking for peoples financial statements...

Let me ask you this. When the first X5 M hits a dealer near you, you go in there ask them to test drive it, they say no. What do you do not buy it? I'm just trying to see 100% where you are coming from. After being in the business and having customers with an attitude of thinking that I am a dirt bag for not doing everything that you the customer wants.

Also this is not Cadillacs postition to not let people drive the car, it is simply the dealers policies on certain cars. I will say that my first statement may have been a little unclear as to the fact with the credit being run first. It all depends on the way that you carry your self when you walk through that door. First i will sit down with you and have a little chat just to feel you out. If you say you are shopping around tell me what you are shopping to see if this car really fits your needs or wants. If you say that is the car I want and I am buying it then sure lets grab the keys and go for a spin. I completely understand where the dealer is coming from saying that lets take a look at the numbers first. Most people may think that they can handle the montly payment on a $50K car untill they see what that exact payment is. This is the whole purpose of looking at numbers before a drive.

ylwjacket....here is some food for thought. Why is it easy to go and test drive a 100k BMW vs trying to drive a 60k GM car? Please find the answer and get back to us. Oh yeah....the ironic part, the 100k company doesn't have it's paws out waiting for you to keep them afloat. Seems like it would be fairly easy for them to say, sorry no test drive. So why does the 60k company have it's hands in your pockets and trying get more??????.......Phil
