Supply chains were not good enough to timely fix the problem. FYI, in many countries the price of gas and percent of inflation are as high or higher than in the US.

Fuel prices have increased in part because of an inflated price per barrel of oil. There are thousands of approved oil leases that have not been activated for drilling in the US. It's unlikely they will be utilized. Overseas suppliers set the price of oil by controlling production. They have the capacity to increase production which would lower the price of gas over time but have not done so thus far.

Many US companies are showing improvements in profit margins. It very unlikely it is because of cost reductions. Most likely it is because of increasing prices more than the inflation of their cost of goods.

I think the way Covid was collectively handled around the world is the culprit. That doesn't mean it should have been handled differently anywhere.

Because of the how long the inflation equation takes to reach the general public it takes a considerable amount of time to ease. it is never a quick fix. I don't think anybody knows for sure, regardless of their expertise, how much of the 'blame' should go to Trump or Biden. It takes a long time for all pieces to fall in place to be where we are.
This is the appropriate place for this post. This is the current sitting 46th president.

It's not your responsibility or authority to determine what posts are appropriately placed. The OP reserves that right. I posted my comment where I intended. Please delete your post.

In this great and free country, I will do no such deleting.

This is the thread for the sitting president.

By the way, have you checked 46’s rating.?

It is ludicrous to believe freedom means you can do anything you want. There are laws, restrictions, and regulations to protect ones freedom and prevent ones freedom from infringing on another. There are also you understood unwritten limitations to freedom. Based on your position I can move any of your posts from any thread you have 'contributed' to whether it has anything to do with your post or not. That's at least counter to the spirit of the forum.

Yes, I am aware of Biden's rating. I think some of the decline is the lack of public knowledge of what has caused the inflation and how long and difficult it is to correct without causing much worse problems. However, I think his administration is moving too slow on other problems that need to be urgently addressed.

I think you’ve gone beyond the scope.

My freedom post was pertaining to my 1st amendment right here on the forum. Unless you suggest they cancel me and my posts.

This lack of “knowledge” you describe, are you insinuating that 75% of the country is uneducated? Because from my perspective, for the most part, the country seems pretty clear on what’s happening.

Thanks for posting the links. I couldn't read the Forbes link without joining so I didn't. The last one came up as an un-secure site. I did read the one by Washington Examiner. The rating for Biden at 30+% are about what I have seen.

They way I read the poll is that Americans have not liked the direction the Government is headed for several years. And it has increased from 50+% to 88%. Doesn't fare well for either party but certainly not for the Democrats coming up to the midterms. I suggest congress is a significant part of the dislike since non partisan votes are few and far between so very little gets done. It is so frustrating to see that every time a bill is presented by Republicans the Democrats vote no and same if Democrats put something forth.

My guess is all of us regardless of party affiliation have become progressively unhappy with the Government. I am certainly not happy with rate of inflation, cost of gas and food but my view is this had to happen based on what Covid caused in the US and around the world. We are still a long way from balancing supply to demand that drives up inflation. Dealing with inflation is at best an inexact science and the best at dealing with it have done the wrong thing more times than the right thing.

Thanks again.
