the way that i did it on my wifes x5 was cutting...

the way that i did it on my wifes x5 was cutting the metal holder from the oem mount and sliding that onto the new mount. it sounds crude but it does work. just used a pair of strong tin snips

got the AiB about 6months ago, they aren't "blinding" bright lights, but compared to the dim dingy yellow of the oem color and output, worth the $$$ imo, and Tom was cool enough to flash the computer...

It deffinitly does, I think the taps are called t-taps, they snap onto the existing wire and have a opening on the bottom of the T for the new wire.

Its actually something that is a "Euro" option if you have a local shop that has a euro module they should be able to flash the LCM to turn off the side markers/corner lights.

i think its kinda a stealer type of thing that is only thru programing codes, unless you have an indi that you know of that might be able to turn it off, it takes about 2min to do, but you gotta love...
