Are you saying it won't shift out of 1st gear at all or is it that it holds the gear to a higher rpm or trans pressure before it shifts. All my BMW's exibit the latter when cold, its normal.

There is a guy on here that sells a longer shaft that will make use of the undamaged portion of the transfer case. I think he said the OEM shaft only uses a third.
