This comes later but this is how I tighten the "Jesus bolt". A little math for the torque calculation and a scale to measure three force.. When I've done chain guides I've removed the oil distribution units and changed the check valves. The procedure calls for replacing the six "rectorings" seals. When measuring them they had on the order of 0.1mm wear, they could possibly be reused but the hook that locks them together is extremely extremely fragile so be very careful removing them. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1774349501.jpg I refurbished the coolant pipes by turning them with a drill and green scrubbie. I painted the part outside the sealed zone to prevent outside corrosion from working it's way under the o-ring. I also used some RTV during assembly to seal between the parts outside the o-ring https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5a4a6a1998.jpg Here's the next step with the oil distribution units removed. Totally worth the extra effort not difficult. There is a perfect step by step on German auto solutions I think. I used a drill with a mini sandpaper holder and 3m scotch brite pad to clean all the seal surfaces |

This is a close up of the end of the cam shaft. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b052874b93.jpg The reacangring in parts diagram https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bafcddb60f.jpg And a photo. I recommend replacing but I wouldn't veto reusing them. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...145859eac1.jpg The part number in case you replace. |

Finished up the front Lemans extended flares. I know I know it would look better with spacers!! Not gonna do it though. [emoji41]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...62531a4041.jpg

I still have $688 of front flares and blind rivets in my FCP Euro shopping cart but just can't justify the cost... yet... |

OB, you can get aftermarket rivets on Amazon that work just as well. I used both on my truck when I did not order enough OEM ones to complete. Will only buy aftermarket now.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 VERY nice sidneyj (I wanted to do Lemans flares in the worst way before the aero kit)... but it would look better with those spacers... LOL. |

I think the flares were approx $265 each. I’ll have to go look at the receipt. Totally crazy even at that price. I want to say the rivets were $1.15 or so. Doesn’t sound like I got those at cost. Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com |
