I fixed my cd changer today! The cartridge wouldn't eject so I took it off and dislodged it with a credit card, gave it a whack and it started working. But after 2 days it was hung again. Took it off once more watched how the mechanical parts were moving and noticed it was scratchy and very dry so I used a tiny bit of wd-40 and it's working again. Hopefully it only needed a little lubrication. Yay me!

What's your suggestion?

Front or rear? I just did complete rear rebuild. Bushings for the lower swing arms with shipping were $58 compared to $329 a piece for a complete swing arm. Summit Auto Racing sells bushing installation compressors and there are also threads on using a series of hose clamps to compress the bushings for installation.

3 days ago I replaced the clutch fan, zip tied down some wires that somehow broke the clips that hold them in place replaced a vacuum line that was cracked and replaced the fitting on another vacuum line that was cracked.
result:
engine takes a little longer to warm up and does not try to overheat while stopped. whistling noise gone. ticking noise is getting quieter the more I drive it. I can no longer hear it with the hood closed (used to be very faint noise) has quieted to the point the sound of the air that the engine fan makes moving the air is louder over 1k rpm.

more parts on the way....

my wing mirrors arnt folding in ( but i didnt know they did anywhoo,. plus not too bothered.
i got an error on my leveling suspension, "self-leveling suspension inactive" only once , going to look into that one,

later today im going to be waxxing it and polishing :)

My E53 had 7 faulty parking sensors when I got it. Ebay has loads, you need a different one for the front corners than the other 6 (and if it's a FL model, the bumper has to come off for the fronts.
