Taking this home soon. The white one needs a transfer case rebuild.

White one looks good! Love the 168's on it, does it have running boards as well like your silver?

Yum! I've been dreaming about a white one with an IS kit for some time now! Love that...

Yup. It's an 02 4.4. It's the one I put a motor in last month. Owner started driving it and within a day or so the transfer case started clicking under acceleration.
So back it came for a rebuild.

Gotta say I love towing with the air suspension. It handled the weight beautifully. Google says a v8 x5 is around 4800 lbs and uhaul says their trailer is 2k. The ole girl drove like nothing was back there though.

The rear air suspension makes towing a pleasure. I've done several runs between FL & TX (1100 miles each way) with a 6k trailer. Drives so effortless I had to set the speed alarm to 85 when the wife drove a few legs, I looked at the speedo and saw over 90 mph several times. She's not a fast driver, just says the X has a reduced sense of speed (95mph feels like 75 mph).

Even towed my brothers 7500lb boat/trailer with 4 people/cargo, from northeast PA (mountains) to Toms River NJ. After letting my brother drive a few HWY miles, he said the X drives better then the 2011 F150 he uses to tow it.

Bought a new Aux Fan Assembly. This price is a lot better than anything else I could find, they sell a lot of them with good reviews. :dunno:

Hope it works out for you. I bought a cheap AUX fan assembly off eBay for my e39. It used to flex when it got hot and the fan would rub on the shrouds and sound like a pushbike with a playing card in the back wheel.

The cheapie I bought for my X5 has worked perfectly. Hope yours does too :)

Just curious how you figured you needed a new fan?
