My brother in law bought my e53 6 years ago at auction for a very fair price. I'm imprinted on the X5 I have zero interest in a different car.
I still prefer the e53 to the e70 but I'm very ok with the e70 as well (especially with the 50i power plant). I'm a week or three away from the big 200,000 mile mark and I still love the car even though the rough patches like right now the cats are on their last legs. I'll use some defoulers to squeeze another year or two out of them. I call my bro in law at least once a year to tell him I love the car. He buys and sells cars and says I'm crazy to get the e70 50i and BMW in general. He says get a Lexus they need almost no maintenance but then you have to drive a Lexus I said. |

Nice! With new MAF the average voltage dropped 0.2 on post cat sensors and the short term trims flipped from positive to negative. I have to wait a couple drive cycles to see the long term trims to see if they finally match polarity. When long term and short term trims are opposite, what I've read indicates that's likely MAF. Early indications are that's true The post cat readings aren't as smooth as I would like but possibly the cats need to burn out some whatever from running lean for so long. I did order some angled defoulers which should squeeze out another year or three out of the cats as it worked on wife's e53. |

Love symmertic odo readings. Also when they match the temp. A buddy of mine sent a pic of his dash at 109109 when it was 109° outside.
When wife's car turned 123456 I was on top of things to reset the trip odometer at 123378 so the trip odometer read 78 |
What is the mileage of your X5?
