So, that's how you plan to pass me up - adding two X5 odometers together

2002 X5 3.0 380,000 miles
2014 428i 68,000 miles

2004 325i sold at 123,600 miles
2001 325i sold at 66,000 miles

miles

Nice.

Did I witness an SES in that photo?

srmmmm 08-07-2020 09:07 AM

Yes, the SES light thinks I have a marginal Cat on bank 2. But the state inspection station didn't find anything wrong, so I'll just run with it. I don't want to push it past next year anyway. Wiring insulation under the hood is starting to get brittle.

can you replace the insulation to keep the X5 going?

srmmmm 08-07-2020 12:26 PM

Too many small wires involved and some of the harness connectors themselves are starting to break.
