Well shit...I wasn't looking forward to taking the car apart (I heard the T-Stat is a BITCH to get out). Well..time to bloody some knuckles and fingers and get grease under my fingernails this weekend. sigh...:confused: the things that bother me because I work in an office.

Actually, fuck...what am I thinking? I need to order the parts! Shit...Amazon had the T-Stat, Temp sensor, gasket and coolant (Not BMW OEM, but equivelent) for $120.00 shipped. I guess I need to order it today and wait for it to get here so that I can replace NEXT weekend. FML. And I work in an office Mon-Fri 8-5, so I can't work on the car on weekdays because I wouldn't have enough time/sunlight.

Sounds like you need to invest in some rubber gloves and a rechargeable trouble light.

Suggest you always buy OE or OEM parts at least to BMW specifications for especially engine and transmission parts--that includes fluids.

My hands are too fat for gloves. Sad but true. If I do wear them, I end up losing bolts, not getting good grips, etc. Plus I enjoy the dirty hands at the end of the day (just not when I am at work) And a trouble light?

2 gallons of coolant, 2 gallons of distilled water. Mix it to 50/50. You may not have to crack open the second coolant and water jugs
