is there just one sensor up front or one on each wheel up front?

also, I'm kinda pissed at walmart. had them put on new tires today and they said I was missing a lugnut.

bullshit. I checked before I went in there.

I'm wondering if they just lost one (hoping) or if they cross threaded one and then threw it away to claim it was lost (dreading)

As for wal-mart. Not a great place to have tires installed. I usually use Discount Tire/America's Tire. Worst case scenario I'd use Sears.

I would love to have a discount tire here in charleston. though, discount tire direct is where I ordered the tires I had mounted.

Its just really really hard for me to go to firestone and have them charge me $98 dollars for mounting/balancing when walmart is just $55...and I can walk to/from there from work so I dont have to sit around.

at least a new lug nut is only $4 and I can get one from oreillys this afternoon when I pick up the brake pads and sensor.

Oreilly's carries all type of lug bolts? Good to know. I usually just swipe some extras from the junkyard when I go (same with fuses/switches). Though the X5 uses 19mm instead of the more common 17mm found on most of the 3's, 5's, and 7's... much harder to find at the yard.

Alright so what's the difference between the 4.4i , 4.6i. and 4.8i? I know the 4.8i has a V8 but what about the other ones?

Well theres the preface lift models 2000 to 2003 3.0i (inline 6) for non us market was offered the 3.0d which was the diesel version above that is the 4.4i (v8 M62tu) then the 4.6is (v8 as well) which is the high end e53
then theres the facelifted e53 2004 to 2006 (3.0i I6 as well) 3.0d then 4.4i now the v8 models got an updated v8 which is the n62 the high end e53 for model years 2004-2006 is the 4.8is which replaced the 4.6is
the hp of the 3.0is stayed the same but the v8s hp is all different the prefacelift 4.4i is about 280hp the facelifted is about 315hp the 4.6is is about 335hp and the 4.8is is 350hp
