Nope, no ULF module there mate so no bluetooth. The muddle installs on the vacant studs you can see in the pic (installs on an angle pointing down).

Hey, I never got back to you. Thanks for the help.

I have another dumb question.

Three times now while driving, my OBC will randomly light up and display "0123401234567012" for a few seconds and then go away. My OBC was unlocked the first time it happened, and locked the next two times. It seems totally random. I was on AUX all three times. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it but I did just install my OEM AUX cable and I have never had this come on before.

Any ideas? It doesn't seem to effect anything.

EDIT I am able to get the numbers to show up when I press the "next" and "back" track buttons on the steering wheel while in AUX mode. So I am 99% sure it just has to do with the AUX input and am not going to worry about it.

Hi fellas,
just wanted to ask about brake fluids. There's a dead link in the article section and search came up empty. :dunno:
Had front brake pads, rotors and sensors replaced about 5 months ago. Past few weeks, noticed a lot of squeaking. wondering if I should check/replace the brake fluids? if so, where is it located ?

thanks guys...

Please start this question in a NEW thread so that the answer isnt buried in a huge multi-topic non descript thread.
Then the next person seeking this info can find it and the whole thread will be dedicated to the singular topic.

Here's my contribution... got under the X this weekend briefly to identify the source of a clunk under certain driving conditions. The front "control arms" or "tension arm" or whatever they are called on the X and the e39 540i suspension setups bushing is worn on both sides, but worse on the driver's. It's the forward most arm that looks like it has a flat twist in it.

My question... and don't laugh. Do they make a version of this arm with a solid rubber bushing (or poly if no solid rubber)? Looking at even a new arm's bushing it has so much open space and seems like it would fail every 50 or 60k miles. Again, don't laugh too hard... lol still learning the platform.

Something like that yes. I think those bushings are for the lower control arm though at the middle of the car?

I am looking for the ones seen in this video.

Also, coming from the 3 series world... I'm used to replacing the control arms with ball joints as one piece. These appear to bolt into the arm... should replacement of these ball joints be done at the same time as replacing the bushings? Kind of nice to not have to buy whole arms to service the ball joints...

I was wondering if anyone has an actual picture of the front bumper mounted driving lights not something from a catalog part number 82110027483

RealOEM.com * BMW E53 X5 3.0i running lights

Super small images, but all I could find with part number, appears to be straight out of the BMW catalog.
