Dumb question that has been answered hundreds of times but I cannot find it.
Regarding the mkiv nav and bluetooth; I have the telephone button on the nav, and the talk button on my steering wheel. Do I for sure have the blietooh option? If so, I can't seem to get it to work. I held down the talk button for one second then turned the key on but could not get it into Bluetooth pairing mode. Does anyone have E53 mkiv nav Bluetooth pairing instructions? My manuals were no help. I am not even sure it will work with my phone (Oneplus One, android). Sorry and thanks. |
Joshdub,
Do you have the talk button in the top section of your console? (near the snap-in adapter) |
I do not. There is nothing in the lid section of the center console.

I am of the understanding that is the key identifier. On Australian-spec vehicles anyway.
Have you checked for the presence of a ULF module in the trunk computer compartment? It's pretty easy to spot - a silver metal box, installed diagonally, just below the front of the CD changer. |
That is what I was seeing too, but the pictures I saw with that button only had the regular headunit. So I thought perhaps it was different with nav and the steering wheel button. I'll have to check on the ULF when it is.not pouring and dark outside

Nope, no ULF module there mate so no bluetooth. The muddle installs on the vacant studs you can see in the pic (installs on an angle pointing down).
