Interesting...
My iBus app starts automatically with starting up the car every time. BUT, this doesn't mean the App recognize the USB dongle successfully or not.
Often times the App is started but didn't recognize the USB. When this happens, I loose OBC ability and cannot force the App to recognize the USB, unless I unplug the power from back of the Headunit.
Having said that, on next day, the App connects to USB successfully. seems buggy.

Try this option.
In iBus App, go to Settings > Other > Start app when Ignition is off > Check ON.

Xtrons HU install/upgrade thread

Right on. I’ll check that setting and make sure it is checked.

As a side note... I hate that the N62 runs at 204-210F in closed loop.

I hear you about the temp the N62 runs at. Next time I do my cooling system I’m planning on looking into the lower temp t-stat.

Totally off topic for the thread but when I refreshed my cooling system I went with the lower bar pressure cap and a 90c stat and have had zero issues since. Truck runs CONSIDERABLY cooler than stock and I have had no issues at all reaching closed loop even living over here in Ohio where we definitely get cold winters. The difference that I did notice was that prior to the upgrade it was at operating temp by the time I got to the freeway, about 2 miles or so from my house, I now let it warm up for about 60\90 seconds before I back out of the garage and if I don't hurry to the freeway she's just hitting temp as I roll onto the on ramp

Oh, man! You just saved me 60 bucks!

So what are we doing for the radio reception? Just using the factory antenna in the trunk? Or just using an app? I use Tune In for my radio app. It’s great.

Yep. Wanted to do DAB (because HD radio is not offered) and found out it's a rest of the world thing. Avin btw, said HD radio wanted too much for licensing so they opted out.

I've had a Logic7 thermostat in a box for a couple of years (maybe 3 years?). Only been driving the 4.8 about 3000 miles a year over the last 3 years and so I just keep putting off a major service (motor mounts, VCG, alternator bracket gasket, complete cooling system, etc) in favor of other more immediate projects.

I vastly prefer its capabilities to stock.
I see no value in keeping a car stock that has no value in it to others, but some do. I love this Android system and the rest of the audio I replaced the BMW antiquities with.
Can you please post some photos? I would like to see it fits in the car.

Crazy how different the UI looks on yours. Is it an Xtrons? How old is it? IBus just released a new version of the app. Have you tried to update it?
