Exclamation

Hi everybody, my name is Rabi and I'm from Paris.
Please don't pay attention to my poor English

So, I bought last week the OPS DIS V56 English ans SSS V32 from china (if anyone wan't a copy of these programs you can PM me).

All is working very good. But my problem is that DIS in English is very difficult for me to understand it. So I bought a copy of the DIS and TIS V56 in French.

When I launch the installation (by mounting the DIS FR DVD and putting password: 12345 then by clicking on ok), the installation start good with appearing some crosses. But after 2 minutes the setup is interrupt and I've got this message (Picture of the error in attachment file):
The DIS installation has been completed with faults. Fault number -250

Same problem for TIS installation but I've got another Fault number ( -230) I think.

Is anybody know how to repair this problem please help me ?

thank you.

Have a good day

The crosses may be your clue to resolving this issue.
I'm assuming because you have a screenshot of VMWare that, that installation is working properly.
Likely the DIS installation is not finding certain files/path of those files.

Are you installing TIS/EPC as standalone through sysadmin or via DIS?

The members over at digital kaos are more knowledgeable on workshop diagnostic software installations. Try your question there.

Thanks for your reply,

I'm installing the software via DIS. I think like you that the DIS don't found some files.

When I burn the DVD DIS in French, do I burn it on UDF mode or CDFS ?

I will ask my problem on digital kaos too. Thanks for you help.

I was messing around w/ a 4.8 not too long ago. It's way easier to change the height w/ Inpa... especially since I couldn't get DIS to work on my laptop for the life of me.

All you have to do is go into the calibration and enter the amount you want to lower by. If you want to raise the car, then enter a negative value.

I also did a corner light delete for someone w/ NCS Expert. Lots of cool things you can do w/ that software

Recently had work done on my air suspension and discovered some "new to me" info on ride level height adjustment using the GT1. Here's the related post:

Smile GT1 Diagnose Results

Hi all,

more than 2 weeks ago my X5 2001 4.4i gave me a "Self Level Susp. Inact" message on the cluster and at the same time my interior lights went off + no washer pump but wiper is working and the rear of the car is lowered to the max + PDC stopped working. hooked my GT1 and found a lot of results, checked all the fuses but all seems okay. i have had issues with my X before and with the help of my GT1 i have solved those issues but for electrical issues i just couldn't figure things out since all the fuses are fine. i think there is a main culprit that connects all these issues since they came all at the same time. any ideas?

here are the results on my GT1

cheers

GT1, Yellow Head unit (Yohotech) and Battery Read Error

I checked the connection with the head and confirmed that it is connected okay.
Hi All,

I have an E53 Sept 05 X5 with ODBII connector in the car (no round diag head in the engine bay// well, I couldnt find one in the place it should be). I have the GT1 software V55 running under VMWARE, connected to the Yellow Head Unit (from yohotech) which is connected to the ODB port. Tests work fine, but I get the above error, like Koister did in a previous post.

My battery is measuring 12.9V (measured with a multimeter at the recharge/jump points in the engine bay).

The only problem I think I am seeing, is that I cant get it to read automatically the car information. If I manually select the car type, etc, then I can run the diagnostics, it shows some system errors, but that is because i dont have those components in the car (like heated seats). I can run individual tests and they seem to work OK.

Havent tried SSS yet.

Is this just the warning message as mentioned previously for "young techs" so they remember NOT to kill the battery or something else.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

The vmware version might just be more voltage sensitive. I'm not 100% positive but that's what I think it is.

I get a similar error every now and then. I don't use the vmware version and my version I use is v43. I find that sometimes I have to restart my laptop and that seems to help sometimes. Also, sometimes I'll start the X, connect the GT1, then shut the engine. This seems to help with the voltage connection problem.

I have the battery charger/power supply but I usually don't need it. However, I've been encountering this more often recently. Probably because of the longer sessions.

- Jose
