I started with his instructions and complemented with the ones on the site (tips & tricks) But if your truck is US spec you don't need any aditional hardware or instrucctions for the AE's, they are P&P

Just in case and to save you some hedaches, did you noticed that the corners look smoke? The headlight itself is the same one I have but the corner looks smoke to me, maybe it's the photo but just in case, unless that's how you want them, ask the seller if the corners are smoke or not

I don't know if the wires are already there or not but as far as motors go do you have manual leveling? There should be a dial next to the light switch for that. If you do have it then you have the motors because they do adjust, they just don't do so automatically. My sister's 3 series has that and should be no different for an X

Sorry Simon, but these appeal a little more than yours, without the 8 'ribs' surrounding the main beam reflector. Very appealing how Dolphin was able to convert xenon and auto levelling to these units. The outer blinker lens (top & bottom) looks very similar to post facelift h/light units.
As long as they live up to expectations I'll seriously consider these.
Any night time beam shots ??

Thanks
I'll get you some night shots this weekend

That's a personal choice because the eBay ones look a lot closer to post-facelift headlights than the DEPO ones do to the pre-facelift ones. And the leveling motors can be swapped from the original ones and swapped back if you need to

I noticed that but I think this is just the light...He has other BMW headlights where he indicates that they are "smoked" but not with these X5 lights so I think the corners should be clear but just in case I emailed him.

i won't like about one thing, the AEs look AMAAAZING .. especially when the sun starts to set or at night.. everyone always stares and gives me a thumb up haha. they are BRIGHT
I'm sorry...did you get the DEPO ones w/ the halogen angel eyes or the ebay ones w/ the CCFL angels? I like how bright the pic is in your signature.
