why is PA so weird with tint law? NJ can't force you to remove if you even get a ticket from them (56 dollar glass ticket), unless its mirrored tint which is strictly illegal.

Nowadays though they hardly ever write tint tickets at least that I've seen, my wifes car is done 20% all around and my X is 15% all around with 5% strip on windshield, I think cops for the most part leave you alone unless you are excessively speeding, blowing red lights, etc, we pass cops all the time and they don't bother us. Since NJ changed the vehicle inspection to be emissions only about 2-3 years ago, you don't even fail inspection if your car is tinted and that used to be the real pain in the ass, every 2 years trying to find a shop you could slip a few bucks to in order to not have to strip your front windows.

well, it could be that it was a 17-year old driving a bimmer (used, with a lot of miles, but nonetheless) and the cops (in absense of hard crime in the area!!) were bored to death... i try not to argue with the cops in this police state...

rule 1. the police is always right...
rule 2. if the police is wrong, see rule 1!!!

this video clip sums it up!!! hahaha

Drop it off to have the damage in the rear bumper fix and paint the bottom part, on Friday. Pick it up yeserday. I'll add "after" pic, when I get home to take one. It rained like crazy here yesterday.
Here is the before

After

Airbag removal is pretty simple but you need to make sure your battery is disconnected.

I know i'll be doing the console eventually. I kinda like the matte black look ( i think it looks better live) but the dip might not last long and will scratch and peel pretty fast.

The headlight lenses on my 2002 3.0 D Sport were becoming quite opaque.
A quick search here, then ordered the 3M kit.
A simple job, although it did take a leap of faith to buff the lenses with the coarse grade.
Thanks Xoutpost.

Well, I bought my E46 with tinted windows and I got pulled over by some asshole from Upper Allen township. I was driving home from work and I saw him make a u-turn to come after me, followed me for miles, pulled me over for no reason other than tint. They're out there, but I hope that it won't be a problem... especially since it's an SUV and not a modded car.

HUGE thanks to Ricky Bobby by the way

I believe that I have acquired the last skid plate available from the dealers today. I placed an order for one through Tischer (getbmwparts.com) 2 weeks ago and they got back to me informing me that they aren't available anymore. I browsed through some of the other sites that I remembered seeing them at and they weren't available on them either. Well Ricky Bobby and I were chattin and he talked to his local dealer who did a nationwide parts search and came up with one left in the whole country. So if you were planning to buy one I'd suggest contacting the place first before ordering if they still have them on their store, because like getbmwparts they may not have updated the store.

This past weekend I put the Mediabridge and SiriusXM SCC1 in my X5. It's so nice to be able to have most of the amenities of a brand new car but with the payment and huge Ins bill. My next project will be getting my cluster repaired.
