Treated the X5 to a new set of Yokohama YK580 tires after the last set managed to last 43,000 miles.

Then tried not to be too upset when the wiring harness on the fan shroud fell into the engine fan, shorted out, and fried the auxiliary fan and disabled my air conditioning on a fine 103 degree day in Texas.
At 258,984 miles, things will happen.
At least these tires will last longer thanks to my new rear suspension bushings and proper alignment!

2002 X5 3.0 258,984 miles
2004 325i 115,064 miles (The CEO loaned me hers for the day)

Put a new headlight height rod on the control arm and wired the other end to the plastic lever on the position switch - the hole had broken out on the top end. Hey, why spend and extra $90+ for a switch that works just fine when some wire will do just fine.

Done, I appreciate the quality & that they are firmly affixed, but having both sides attached by nuts & bolts sucks!!!

Start it up after about 2 weeks rest. Resume its DD duty for my wife. I had sold the 03 540i MSport yesterday.

Grill badge for multiyear CCA renewal came, it's 1/2 the size of teh one I have (lost the retaining bracket for mine)

Sub is in, using stock speaker level into teh amp didn't work so I am going to run the sub out from my AVIC 8000-NEX tomorrow, it was 115 in my garage & I had already done the door handle so I quit.

Got my tension arm poly bushings installed. The shop ended up grinding a slight chamfer on them to get them in - what a goofy design. But the braking shake is GONE - very solid feel now.
$237 for the labor, including an alignment. Beats me breaking something!
