Anyone know if that's doable?
In the meantime, I'll be crying in the corner missing my X.

I drove in the rain (in Saudi Arabia that's crazy) and my hatch unlocked. After closing it my outside switch died. So I am now standing under a disassembled hatch with a magic hairdryer in the hopes that I don't need to buy a new switch...

I recently re-worked a tailgate latch that wouldn't latch just recycled to unlatched: something broke inside so when it went through the latch cycle it wouldn't stop.

I modified it to manual latch and auto open by simple process I forgot what I did like remove a push bar inside.

I'll look if I took pictures

Thanks, you have no idea how hard it is to hide a hairdryer that "fell" off the pregnant wife's counter and into the X...

I've seen SF guys notice less than her.!!

HAHAHA

All that drying and it was that the L piece had overrode the micro switch.

Now to NINJA her hairdryer back into the house...

Opened the hood today and found this tucked inside. Had an alignment done at NTB last Thursday. No one else touched the X until today ***

Picked up some great parts from a member parting out an Imola on Imola 4.6is, that had a 4.8is facelift conversion done at some time.

Grabbed the entire interior with aluminum trims, entire front end including Euro Clear Bi-Xenons. Also was able to get a 4.8is guage shroud.

Can't wait to see my 2001 X5 with a new front end, freshly painted, and all the parts I've been hoarding over the years (lemans front flares, heated '06 steering wheel, running boards, rear "is" flares, etc)

Some pictures of the goods, also some pictures were from the seller's original ad, thanks again Mario!

This is what my back office/parts room looks like after a long weekend of work.

BTW, interesting discovery. Underneath the aerodynamics kit side skirts are aluminum running boards. Or at least underneath the black parts truck's there was.

Here's where my 4.8is kit is going. Before:

After:

And here's the current state of my poor baby.

....and on a related note...I dropped off some Imola red 4.8is bumpers off at my body shop to have them switched to Sterling.
