Installed Stoptech cross drilled/slotted rotors and centric pads.
Previous owner had only replaced pads and the rotors were glazed with a very noticeable lip on the edge. It was noisy even though it had brand new pads. Also for some reason the wear sensors feel a bit short and can't attach to the bleeder as it's supposed to. Looks like they used used the rear length ones?? Smh Lastly the pads that I removed were EBC red stuff but if you go to their site it states not for SUV/Trucks yet they sell it for the X5?? Oh wait sorry we have sAv lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Proper routing is critical or they will seem too short.

Drove the 6MTE53 about 80 miles to visit friends the Friday after Thanksgiving. Even at 128k miles I am enjoying the ride. The sport package riding on 18 Michelin Lattitudes to me is a dream....

Did both front ball joints today. Easy once you clear the way. Remove the wheel, rotor, caliper and remove 3 M6x1.0 screws that hold the backing plate to the hub and rotate 90 degrees. Puts the ball joint, T50 mounting bolts and the ball joint nut in front of God and everybody. A couple of taps with the hammer and it all comes apart effortlessly. Got it down to 30 minutes a side.

Completed my caliper rebuild/paint project. Will be installing when my new pads and rotors arrive. I'd post a pic, but I can't figure out how to do it.

What did you do to / for your E53 today??

So I pulled another sensor and measured it against the one already on the car and they were the same length. It's long enough but not long enough to be clipped in all the mounting points. If I clip it by the bracket on the strut it is too short and and won't reach the bleeder valve where it slips on. But if I attach it to the bleeder valve it's not long enough to clip inside the strut bracket. But there is plenty of length from the connector box (by the fender well) up to the strut bracket.
