Don't confuse the ineptitude of a dealer's service department for a car that cannot be repaired. This dealer's service department does not want your business. It's a safe bet they haven't looked at it since the first stumbling block. It's sitting out back waiting for you to do something other than call about it.

Take your car some place with competent service people or leave it there to rot. One decision gets you a car to trade, the other lets you continue festering in dissatisfaction.

Yes, I see the car every day on the way to work. It's out back rotting. The problem is with CPO BMW. The locals ( has been to 3 northwest BMW's) Have told me they can no longer put parts in without BMW's OK first. So, BMW tells them to order this part and install and report back. This takes 1 week ( as they do not overnight parts). They have put in everything new for the air ride. all 4 strut units, lines, control valves, sensors, control box. The car still will not stand on all 4 legs for 24 hours. BMW has a specialist coming out ( 2nd time). I have good feelings with the locals, they gave me a new X5 so it OK for now.

Ford vs Chevy...

I have had both, I just have had better luck with the Ford/Lincoln then Chevy/ Cad.

o that's your reason. i do have a cousin with an escalade and its never left her stranded.100k+miles on it and still runs like new.i just never had been a fan of the styling however the newer ones are pretty appealing so im willing to see how much of a comeback GM is truely making.

DAY 56?! and after all these posts an MDX or cadillac SRX will still be the next SUV for me.acuras have outstanding reliability and as for the SRX, they're not very common in my area so i get to stand out.that was one of the things i liked about my X.then EVERYONE started getting their own...

don't think you can lemon a 2006.

Looked at the SRX's. leaning toward the MKX.

Local Lincoln ordered me a 2012 with all options I wanted. They did it on their allocation order. With that I did not have to put any money to it or have to buy it. Hope to have a 4.8is to trade in. Should be built in 3 more weeks.

Yes, BMW USA knows of my car. They have been zero help.

What made yo choose the lincoln over the cadillac?ive looked at lincolns myself but i always saw them as a last resort option.

with the air down on one side reminds me of a Haggis .
A Haggis is a wee Scottish beastie which lives on hillsides and has 2 long legs on the left and 2 short legs on the right because it moves around the hill in a clockwise direction .
We catch them by hiding behind a bush until one comes along then we surprise them at which point they turn around to run away and lose balance due to their odd legs causing them to roll into a strategically placed net .

ah`ll get ma Harris tweed jacket , ma bagpipes and ma collie dug .
