answer to the original question: YES!
Mine is a 2002 3.0d 120k (km), remapped to 220HP right after buying, optical modded, have it since 1 year now - never any problem... didn't I write that already in this thread ?

Weasel will become famous soon enough
Idious, the final stage resistor is for the ac fan, it controls the airspeed out of the vents. It has nothing to do with the air suspension. The tpms would be tire pressure monitoring system. Those are all separate systems.

Quality is not there anymore, reminds me of how MB was five years ago. Reliability too. Two lemons from three orders. Not worthwhile to waste more time and money.......so I needed to make a change away from BMW.

Cheers

BMW= Big Money Wasted.we all have those same problems but im crazy enough to still love my X but deff will not buy anything with a BMW badge on it again. go acura or lexus bro (mostly acura because lexus has a sorry excuse for a luxury class AWD system)audi is questionable.id have to ask more Audi owners about reliability before id ever buy one.

despite the problems i've experienced...which all came down to one problem (alternator) after 6 months i still LOVE driving my X

I'm not an acura fan only because they don't option out well, atleast last time I looked at one on the lot. what I mean by that is that they come fully loaded, no extra options, very few colour choices inside and out available.

I'm previously a double Audi owner. Had an A4 1.8 turbo quattro LOVED IT & a TT - also wonderful to drive just a little to much of a chick car for me long term

Not going to thread jack but reliability has never been a problem on my Audi or VW. Problems=yes, expensive parts and service=yes, but as I say; you gotta pay to play. None of them have never [not] started up when I turned the key. But I am the Audi nut in the family so I'm a bit partial, admittedly.

Even though I have chimed in, and about to spend mucho $$ on the X, we'd still buy another one given finding a good deal (we don't buy NEW cars). Even though it's the wife's car, I enjoy driving it from time to time. It's nice whipping an SUV around like a car.

OP, you have to know what you're getting into, these aren't Hondas or Toyotas, know that going in. If you aren't comfortable, don't proceed.
Good luck
