Since we sold my beloved i6 for the '04 4.8is, we have taken the 4.8is through a couple dozen National Parks, we've traversed both borders, dipped our toes in both oceans (and the Gulf, of course). We have driven as far North, South, East and West as possible in the CONUS. 185k miles. I still wanna drive to Denali NP in Alaska. My daughter is in the shadow of her 20th birthday this Summer. She still brings up the road trips.

I'll trade that sh!t and whatever it costs against my old ass X5 and any beige Camry of any year, any day, anywhere, anytime. Screw reliability!

I was told I could have bought a newer Camry for what I paid for my X5.

My reply: yes but then I'd have to drive a Camry!

I just hit 288,888!

Now it's time for another complete front-end job plus motor & transmission mounts...

Bro. I wasn't as explicit, but I totally said the same thing to my wife ab our 26th anniversary this week.

Also.. mine and her's anniversary. We've had an E53 throuple for years before we married into a self-destructing N62 foursome.
