The spear is genius. Need one for the front too.

Miles definitely going on. Next, a hitch for Austin tailgaters to hit "into".
I'm about to hit 200,000mi and that old bitch does not leak a drop of anything.

She does burn about 1L every 1,500mi. Not unusual for that mileage, and no visible smoke.

My Ram truck has this Austin traffic stopper. Works as a fourth light at night. Brake light and turn signal during the day. Once a hitch is installed, I'll get another. I'll use it as a bike carrier. My bike carrier will to clamp on it. I need some liquid Gorilla clue to fix the LED tape lights. The replacement tape LED lights are better. However, the glue is not.

Fixing the siphon jet so you can use the bottom 1/4 of a tank is not difficult.

You say the transmission slips when cold it's possible it just seems like it. It will stay in first gear for much higher than normal when cold I think it does that on purpose to warm the transmission. When you preheat the motor I think the transmission will get preheating from the input side of the torque converter spinning. Or perhaps the transmission cooler tstat opens when the coolant temp gets hot enough than that warms vs. cools the trans fluid.

I know with our e53s we would drive when cold but just drive quite slow for the first mile or two while the transmission was warning up.

On my way to work, hit 22k+ miles since purchase. Fresh oil and running great. Time to fill up. Max miles between fill ups is 225-250 miles.

Need some time to install a hitch, OEM repaired left front regulator, and valve cover gasket.

I'll never tire of the golden orange og bmw color. Wife's F10 goes white during the day but is more red than the OG color. I read they figured out the best wavelength to be most visible but not affect night vision.

In the Navy we would "rig for red" and flip all the instruments to red from white at night in case we had to surface we'd have useful night vision.

That was more red than orange but the whole room was also lit red.

Red is the shortest wavelength of visible light. I miss it in my 4.8, but the 4.4 has it. I also like the sweeping mpg gauge. Wholly useless and mostly inaccurate, but sooo satisfying to watch it sweep across the bottom of the dial. I miss that in the 4.8 as well.

Shouldn't be too long now till 190k. C'moooonn 200!

Got any experience with bright LEDs that you recommend? I wanna glue or otherwise affix some to the new bike rack. I am looking for amber turn signals, brake and tail lights. My vision is to have the same lights across all the trays. Here it is with three tray affixed.
