Never added myself to the list. Bought it back in July of 2015.

It's a 2006, LB09991 for you vin decoder fans... Have just under 160K Miles right now, leaks Coolant, Oil, and Washer Fluid... Did CCV, Valve Cover Gasket, and Vanos... I think I need to tackle the oil pan or rear main seal soon. Then do a cooling over haul as well. As far as the washer fluid, i don't know. haven't looked yet. all i know is that i filled it not too long ago and now on sharp turns the light comes on. Oh well.

I want to wait until spring and maybe find a low miles donor vehicle cause i want to swap out the grey interior for black or the black/tan combo and rip the engine bay apart replacing worn items.

Here are the pics, i've since removed the silver pin stripe.

Congrats, Tony, mine is LB09992, born Valentine's Day, 2006, perhaps off the production line right after yours'. Like the sportsitze [sport seats], same as mine. You will have a tough time finding a donor vehicle for those, in schwartz or any color .... I do like the blue exterior, word is they are much faster 0-60 than comparables in other colors .

haha, that's awesome!

yea i basically hate the grey bottom half of the dash and the grey door cards. i was thinking of keeping the grey leather though... dunno really. i found a wrecked on this summer but didn't pull the trigger on it cause i live in a condo and didn't really have anywhere to keep it for the week or two i'd need. i'm looking at moving out into a garage with a house though. (yea house with garage, whichever)

Hey Tony, that gray interior is awesome. Why would you want to change it? When I was looking for my X5, I, actually specifically did not want black or tan interior. I understand that it is question of personal preference but I, still think it is a good color. As far as rear seal/oil pan gasket tackle - dont jump the gun on that just yet.. You mentioned that VCG was recently replaced- the deal is that if VCG leaks in the rear, oil finds its way trough the ttansmission/engine join area and drips precisely looking like faulty rear seal. Now when VCG no longer leaks, have that area cleand up and wait and see if fresh oil comes out. It is recomended to change rear crankshaft seal every time gearbox/tranny is out and I did mine but as far as I understand, it is not a common issue or sometimes a symptom of failing CCV valve - it may holds higher pressure within engine, pushing oil out of, well, everywhere. If you havent done CCV recently, do that first and OIL filter housing gasket is more likely to be next on nessesity list rather rear crankshaft seal.
