Coding, what not to forget?

Make a blank FSW_PSW.MAN file first in the work directory. Not having this was screwing my system up. it's the same name as the .Trc file but instead of .Trc you make it .man.

Open inpa first, if it works so will NCS.
Close inpa, open NCS.
Load profile, I use Revlovs
Press F1, right away press F3, choose e53, choose ews, press ok. Your vin should come up. Well not full vin, only last 8 matter, the 8th of the last 8 is a check digit, so ignore that one. Then press back. Press process ecu, choose Gm3, ok, ok.

Then you need to change jobs and select codierdaten_lessen, this makes NCS read your module. Press execute job. When done it will say coding finished, and you have FSW_PSW.TRC file with all your code.

That's where I'm up to so far.

I only have about three hours of free time invested in this. So let me know where you get up to.

After you chose GM3, and press f4 again, a txt will open with bunch of HEX in it. Close that, and go to your WORK folder and open the .TRC file. Save it as a .MAN file, and change w/e you need. Save it again as a .MAN file.. then you F5, coapiReadSgGetFSWPSW, F2, SG_CODIEREN, and hit F3 to start coding. It will say coding ended after its finished.

Done. Thanks guys. Great help. I used revtors though. I guess since my car is manufactured before 2002 the expert profile with coapiReadSgGetFSWPSW didn't work for me.

My shit keeps giving me an error when reading. I have a massive sensation I have a shitty cable. Anyone want to try it if it works? Maybe I can borrow a known good one?

Either way. I give up for now. I am going to post on bmwcoding and see what people suggest. But based on research, either my cable is bad, or I need to format my whole shit and start over.

what is the error. You shouldnt be able to get as far as you have with a bad cable.

I wonder if this is one will allow me to still operate the windows after the ignition is off:

FH_ABSSCHALTKRITERIUM is set to us - usa in my case.

What should I change it to?

without looking it up, I believe you change it to ECE, which lets the windows work for a few minutes until you open the door.

What cable are you using? You said you connected with INPA, right?
