Went up the beach last friday at full tide for 14klms, the sd does not get stressed compared to the 3.0d I had. Handled the soft sand quite well, the beach is in pretty bad state at the moment and I had to idle over some fairly rough coffee rock. You have to run with the DTC completely off so it lets you spin the wheels through the soft sand otherwise the computer takes all the power away and you come to a stop.

(Low tide is ok because the beach is like a National highway and you can leave the DTc on until you come to the cutting to get back onto the normal road at that point you have to turn it off again until you get through the cutting)

Got hit by a couple of waves, took me 30min to hose all the foam, sand & crap off when I got to the beach house.

thanks guys. I'm thinking of washing the car already. Even though it looks really clean from delivery i found by accident when I rubbed my hand along the back bumper that there was alot of black soot, which I didn't notice because its on the part of the bumper that is already black.

I'm assuming the soot is from the exhuast but the exhaust tips still look really clean. Since I'm not exactly sure I will give it a clean and monitor it.
