I'm thinking if you set them to stay on they might not act as turn indicators
It's funny you bring that up cuz when i first got the x5 I thought the bulb was burnt out or wiring was faulty

Remove IDrive warning when starting the car

Angel eyes brighter
Seat Belt Chime for Driver disable

Couple of other things I was wondering about though.

Can the passenger side seat-belt warning be disabled? (Annoying when laptop bag sets it off )

Can you have fog-lights always on when low-beams are on? (auto or switch, again annoying having to turn on separately)

Can you disable the directional fog-light turn indicator? (Dumbest thing ever, looks like one is burned out whenever you turn )
-Passenger side seat belt warning can be disabled
-Fog-Lights can be coded to come on automatically when the lights are turned on
-Directional fogs can be disabled

FINALLY SUCCESS!! HAHAHA

It took many hours of reading, and googling to setup the software correctly in Windows so the cable can communicate with the car. It was not easy, but it's worth it.

I was able to code the Digital speed and auto-fold mirrors on lock. The two features I wanted the most.

Thanks to everyone that helped, especially blue_dragon and digdigital!!

Will coding cause any issue with a vehicle under the CPO program. If not, anyone in the Sacramento area willing to code for me?

quick question...
just popped in the CD that came with the cable to see what was on it.
it has an awesome pdf write up for INPA - EDIBAS FULL-English Edition.

should i install that or go with thepiratebay BMW Standard Tools 2.12 install

don't want to install both incase of C:\ folder file conflictions

what do yall think?

*EDIT*
went ahead with the BMW Standard Tools 2.12 install
so far i believe i've got it all installed and missing files or necessary files replaced
using BMW Coding Tool, i updated Daten Files successfully, loaded TRC file successfully (haven't plugged into the vehicle yet tho) and ran into a problem updating WinKFP says i have no DATA folder in my SP Daten folder which i don't, checked 3 different Daten file zips i downloaded and they have no DATA folder either???
my Daten folder shows... cfgdat, daten, ecu, format, kmndat and sgdat
is there suppose to be a DATA folder?

looks like the exact same cable I got. You should install from the included CD first. I tried just installing thepiratebay BMW Standard Tools 2.12 first and it didn't work. it seems like it was just an update. The full version is on the CD afterwards, update it with thepiratebay BMW Standard Tools 2.12.

Also, when you get to 4) Run step 2\INSTALL\instprog.exe

Make sure you copy the entire 02_Step_2 folder to the C: drive, it will not run directly from the CD... It will give you errors. I only found out after some searching on Google.

Do the same for 03_Step_3 folder.

I just did all this last week, so it's still fresh in my memory.
