Fortunately, I ditched unimaginative and stifling Apple products many years ago.

It worked well. I successfully coded:

- simultaneous high beam and fog lights
- fog lights with flash high beams
- windows/sunroof close with fob
- disable seat belt warnings
- key in ignition warning
- double flash normal and crash hazards
- five pulse one touch turn signal
- accurate digital speed in OBC
- always lit speedometer and tachometer
- express window with door open
- IHKA mode memory

I also modified the number of swipes after windshield washing, windshield wash delay, the number of windshield washes between headlight washings, the duration of the headlight wash and interval for the headlight washer.

The only thing I couldn't get to work was engine start without depressing the brake pedal. I did not see options to close the tailgate with console button and fob or to remove the iDrive accept screen and reverse camera/PDC warnings. I would also like to remove the cameras' speed limits.

I also messed around with some of the Parameters functions. Some very interesting stuff there that I need to study more to understand what they all mean. I am particularly interested in the DPF regeneration status and information.

I am about $100 all-in on this project. I am satisfied. Hopefully it improves over time.

Has anyone used the BMWhat dongle with other PC software? It works great for me, but would still like to code rear lift to close with key. Current limitation of app coding.

I have not tried using it with another application but mostly because I don't know of another smartphone based one. I would try it if there were another but it would have to offer something that I don't already have with BMWhat if I were paying for it.

Anybody else have issues with the start without brake pedal coding on a US diesel?

Same issue with a US non-diesel. Also, anyone have any luck with turning off the BMW disclaimer warning? Or seatbelt warnings? Can't seem to find them in the app...assuming no support yet in the app.

Still also waiting on the close tailgate via keyfob too.

I've not bothered to try the brake pedal delete but I can confirm that the seat belt warning gong has been disabled although the warning light still remains lit until it is fastened (probably easily remedied by removing a wire at the clasp.)

All seat belt messages and warning gongs are thankfully off for me via the application. Light remains but that was never a bother for me. Look in the CSM list.

Idrive warnings are being worked on currently and the tailgate close is something they're planning on.

Registered a new battery today and did some coding. Folding mirror when locking doesn't seem to be working also engine start w/out brake doesn't work. I'll mess with it more later after the Canada vs Russia WJ game.
