Clarification, I have not been success with coding the car to start without having your foot on the brake, however, I have not tried this since earlier in the year so not 100% if this has been corrected with current updates.

Seems that items and features are being added as time goes on with this App which is good.

Recently coded the tailgate to open and CLOSE from the keyfob and the tailgate button on the dash. This was something I wanted from early on and it a great feature.

Recently configured the folding mirrors as well. I like the fact they only fold when you hold the keyfob lock button or keep your hand on the convenience lock for a few seconds. Did not want the mirrors folding all the time.

One thing that most fill figure out, although the Carly App tells you to cycle the ignition for the coding to be fully enabled, this is not always the case. You need to shut the vehicle off and let the modules go into Sleep Mode for most of the coding changes to take full effect.

The last part is true, i was having issues with codes not taking so i gave up for the night, next morning all was working so yeah if it doesnt work, just let the car go to sleep for a bit.

Loving the app, just wish the text color on the drop down was bright white so that its easier to see what youre picking while driving. Gark gray on a black background isnt ideal.

My advice is to not code the engine start without pressing the brake pedal. It will cause problems and inconvenience. In reality, you wont be able to turn the ignition on without starting the engine. Everytime you need to turn the ignition on the engine will start.

FINALLY, someone else sees this as a PROBLEM.

What Android device are you using? I am using an LG tablet and its almost impossible to see the drop down menu. I contacted the developer and the answer was they use the "standard" Android color scheme and the problem was with my device. They suggested I chance the color options on my device. I told them wait a minute, I have no problems with any of my other Apps and color scheme, so if I change the color scheme on my device, it may cause problems with other Apps.

My suggestion was to offer 2 color scheme options for the App. I was pretty much blown off which I DO NOT like in any way.

How many other users have problems with the Drop Down menu color and what device are you running the App on? If we get enough people to complain, then maybe we can get a change.

True, this is one of the reasons I did not pursue this in more detail.

One thing I did not to think of was to actually see if there is a delay on the start without foot on the brake. This would be the correct way to implement the feature.

Foot on the brake, immediate start, no foot on the brake a 1-2 second delay where the start button needs to be held down. It may be possible this is how the feature is configured to function and I never tried to hold the start button down while not putting my foot on the brake.

Seems this could be a good topic to cover and share notes and experiences as it will collectively help all the Carly users and possibly give some priority to resolving "issues" that we find.

So this may be an LG issue?? Need to see what others have to say.

Another thing I found is the App did not work well on my Droid 4, kept crashing it and even when it worked, the App was not very easy to use on a smart phone due to the screen layouts.

So I ended up buying a low cost LV V400 for this App and some other Apps I tend to run, then found out this was also a great little travel tablet to surf the web and access forums and even use this with my Valentine 1 App in the car. The tablet is just the correct size to put in front of the display on the dash. I have heads up display so I do not need to really look at the center dash display for GPS when traveling.

Long ago someone with E60 did that and he had a huge problem to code back to normal. I dont remember the exact case, but could have been that CAS cannot be coded with engine running or something like this.

Drop down menu font color is white on a very dark grey background on a Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active

When start without brake pedal is active, I notice that there is a delay when starting with the brake pedal depressed.

I have been running the app on an iOS operating system (iPhone 5s) and have had no issues with the dropdown menu colours with either the BMW or Mercedes app. Admittedly I have not tested the Android version, but as I have an old Samsung Galaxy S laying around, I would be interested to fire it up and see how the colour schemes look to see if the issue is more prevalent in the Android version or is specific to LG devices.
