Hi guys!!

I have some problems with my nany.

I’ve change some colours and some words in the Navboot file, and now I’m having problems with the GPS.

It does not recognise my “DVD 2007-1 + radars”. It works properly with the V.28 without any change in colours and words, but now it doesn’t work. The “DVD 2007-1 + radars” is the same. Same disk.

Is any link between the navboot file and the “DVD 2007-1 + radars”??

So:

1.- V.28 without any change in the colour and words + “DVD 2007-1 + radars” = All ok!!

2.- V.28 with some changes in the colour and words + “DVD 2007-1 + radars” = No GPS Disk Error!! And sometimes the system doesn’t work properly. Some black screen, no GPS logo at screen….

Any help???

I have the “V.28 modify to SPANISH” but I select GB language at “Configuration” It speaks me in Spanish

Do I have to visit BMW to re-codificate the system??

Pls, helpppp!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!

It will be implemented in the next version.

Can some one please help......

I used a V28 navboot file and I have changed the splash screen and some icons within as per the instructions in this thread. I have burnt a new copy of V28 with the modified navboot

But when i put the V28 disc in to update, the system jsut says my system is already up to date.

I am currently on V28, so how can i update the files that i have modfiied???

Any suggestions??

thanks in advance!!

Janafunk

You need to increment the SW version to higher than the current 4/1-80 (for Mk4).

ie: make the SW version 4/1-81 and your nav will load the new SW.

Change in rel_tbl and lang_tbl, first 4 bytes, edit with hex editor
These filenames are from memory - you'll see the files when you look through the V_2 directory and it's subdirectories.

...otherwise you can get a V27 version (here), downgrade your system to 4-1/70 then reupgrade to 4-1/80 with new screen, as I did...

So if i put the V27 disc into the MK4 drive it will automatically downgrade to V27? or is there any special way to force a downgrade?

And does downgrading cause any problems......??.....i have a MK4 Euro drive based in UK.

cheers

Jan.

Yes, in mine I inserted a V27 sw and system took it as is.
You don't need strange actions to downgrade system.
You shouldn't have any problem in mk4 euro system...
