v29.1 Help
Hope y'all can help out a NAV Noob so here goes.
I have a 2006 X3 with the factory NAV option. I want to enable "Perspective Mode," but my current version does not allow for that. It's sw v4-1/60 (Is that v26 or v27?) I have the v28 upgrade for sometime now, but always been too chicken to install it because from what I've read I could lose some functionality with the upgrade...such as the "Assist" feature. Will upgrading from my current version (v4-1/60) to v29.1 have the same risk? Thanks! BTW, my Maps disc is 2007.1

Hi there, i have a problem, i recently updated my mk4 with v29.1 and everything is working fine, yesterday a friend of mine asked me to upgrade his 530d from 2002 with v29.1, so i did!
The mk4 had the dutch menu and language, but after i upgraded his mk4, the language has changed to German, GB and French! Is there anyway i can get this dutch language back (the menu an the spoken language)? Regards J. |

You need my NavCoder program, then you can set the nav to whatever language combination you want, and restore the correct Telematics settings Jochen |

NavCoder changes the programming inside the nav unit. It doesn't alter the OS. You need to change the programming 9coding) to restore the languages and settings you want.
You need a hardware interface - an ibus interface - which you must either buy or build In the NavCoder zip file there is a schematic for a simple ibus interface, which is the one I use. And you also need a laptop with a com port. Jochen |

Thnx jochen, i hope it works out for the dutch voice!! Excuse me for asking, but in the entire forum i didnt seem to find how to change te menu in another written language, or is this automaticly changed when navcoder change the voice language, when it does will the dash display also change to dutch? I viewed the program (navcoder 2.0) and its nice (accept the nl language whas missing LOL) Im gonna search for a tutorial now, so i can study a bit about the possibilities with the resler device! Im gratefull for your responce and the support your bringing to this board Sorry for the bad english spelling, i hope you understand everything i typed wrong Friendly regards Joel |
